Kingmoor Junior School has provided an online learning resource for over a decade using Moodle however we will now be using Google Classroom to support online learning at home and in school.
What is Google Classroom?
Google Classroom is a secure learning network for teachers and pupils. It provides a safe way for us to connect, share content and access work that has been completed at home or in school.
How does Google Classroom work?
The Google Classroom platform enables teachers to post learning material online, including short teaching inputs and work for your child to complete. Your child can complete work online, or upload a photo of their work, which teachers will then mark and provide feedback.
How will my child access Google Classroom?
Your child can access their Google Classroom account on laptops, tablets and phones. On the school website there are guides to help you access the platform on these different devices with some additional information.
In order to login, your child will need to use the following details:
A sticker with the exact login details will be provided in your child’s reading record.
When will Google Classroom be used?
Google Classroom will be used to provide online learning in school and home. Pupils will use the platform to access specific work uploaded by teachers in school and for work to be accessed at home. Home learning packs are being uploaded to Google classroom should pupils need to learn from home. Therefore, it is important for everyone to feel confident with the system. Your child’s class teacher will provide opportunities for the children to practise using Google Classroom.
